He resides right at the focal point of Sanganeri traditional textile printing units cluster.
He was very aware about advent of ecological pollutions and their hazardous effects upon the globe .Since his early childhood .The real blood of Sanganer, Pink city Jaipur runs in his veins.
He played a major role to protect the shifting of Sanganer Textile printing units cluster to somewhere else and helped a lot to these Industries.
He has developed at-least fifteen self help women groups and providers’ jobs and training to new ventures. His expertise is ‘silk printing through natural dyes by hand blocks.
BRIJ is also associated with Shilpi in the creative manner, as he has seasoned in hand block textile printing technology specifically through vegetables dyes. These dyes (vegetables pigments) adhere permanently upon the fabric either cotton silk or otherwise. He did it on a silken saree by hand block through vegetable dyes. Winner of ‘National Award for the craftsmanship, His expertise is ‘silk printing through natural dyes by hand blocks

Aims and Objectives
The Shilpi Sansthan is concerned with trying to find avenues for a better life for craftspersons both as part of their larger community and that of the natural environment. Its role is not only that of a catalyst, but also as a beneficiary of the resulting harmonious socio - economic order.
Its experience over the years has naturally steered Shilpi Sansthan towards the following goals:
1. To revive, preserve and support declining indigenous knowledge, resources and skills
2. To update artisanal technologies
3. To create a sustainable source of raw material
4. To act as facilitator in implementing Government of India's schemes directed at crafts and community development
5. To understand the ever changing markets
6. To contribute towards creating a better life for the craftspersons, by understanding the various problems that they face like marketing and know how about product.
Shilpi Sansthan believes that any intervention needs sensitivity towards the community's priorities as well as a pace of growth which is acceptable to it.

History of Shilpi Sansthan
It is acquainted with by the name ‘SHILPI’ that this institute is dedicated in the field of handicraft.
National Award winner Mr. Brij B. Udiawal realized that there is no institute for handicraft at National level. Therefore he founded an institute in the year 1990 at Sanganer in “Pink City Jaipur” for the same, which was named “SHILPI” In the infantry state SHILPI started its functioning by integrating small artisans and promoted vegetable colours in hand block printing upon textiles. SHILPI researched new avenues for development so that hand block printing clusters of the industries could find new dimensions at national and international standards.
This institute is working day and night in the faculty of handicrafts wide over the country.
It has contributed technical knowledge and assistance and has engraved a valued impression in handicrafts during its last years functioning. It keeps and esteemed place in handicrafts.
Till now, this institute has developed 10,000 new and old traditional patterns of textile hand block printing by natural dyes and has brought millions USD foreign revenue to the country.
This institute is has provided various technical training to the trainees.
This institute is the exclusive and unique one for the handicrafts in India where the cited Techniques and other facilities are provided to artisans, especially for dying and printing of textiles.
SHILPI is just providing its assistance discretely and technical know how’s with no desire of gaining profits.
