The Shilpi Sansthan is a voluntary, non - governmental organization, working in the craft sector, for the welfare of crafts persons and the development of handicrafts. Shilpi Sansthan was established in 1990 by Brij ballabh udaiwal and has its headquarters in Jaipur.
The Shilpi Sansthan is involved in the areas of craft documentation, design development, training of crafts persons and up gradation of tools and technology.
The Shilpi Sansthan strives to fulfill the needs of craftsperson’s, protecting craft traditions and providing a bridge between India's craft heritage and the challenges of a contemporary milieu. Shilpi Sansthan works through research and documentation, skill and technology up gradation and product development and marketing providing avenues that lead to a continuing sustainable livelihood for craftspeople.
